In case the director and shareholder in the company are foreign persons, the anti-money laundry legislation prescribes obligation for registration of a contact person – Bulgarian physical person or foreign person with permanent residence in Bulgaria and the main obligation of the person is to receive notices from the authorities in case a contact with the manager is needed. Most of the banks in Bulgaria also require a contact person to be announced before the bank account of the company is opened
