Set up your Holding Company in Switzerland
Swiss Canton of Vaud

In Switzerland, businesses can establish Limited Liability Companies (Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung, GmbH) or Corporations (Société Anonyme, S.A. / Aktiengesellschaft, AG). The company can be registered in various cantons, including Geneva, Lugano, Lucerne, Vaud, Zug, or Zurich. However, we recommend the canton of Vaud due to its numerous benefits and advantages, particularly its competitive corporate tax rate, which stands at approximately 13.79%.

Time to Register a Holding in Switzerland

Opening a capital account for depositing the paid-up capital and preparing the incorporation documents typically takes 2-3 business days. Arranging an appointment with a notary public, depending on their availability, generally requires an additional 2-3 days. Once the incorporation meeting is held with the notary, the incorporation deed and articles are submitted to the Commercial Register. It usually takes 7 to 10 business days for the Commercial Register to issue the stamped documents and publish the company information. Importantly, the client does not need to be physically present in Switzerland for the incorporation process.
